The Institute of Immunology at the University Medical Center is recruiting a
Bioinformatician /Postdoc (m/f/d) on Computational Proteomics in full-time (100%). The position is initially limited to 2 years. The position will be in the group of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Stefan Tenzer (Homepage, Homepage Core Facility MS).
Your tasks include:
- Bioinformatic support of the integrated proteomics and lipidomics platform of the DFG-funded priority programme “SPP2225 EXIT Strategies – Host cell exit of intracellular pathogens” in evaluating quantitative proteomic data sets (For further information on the project, please visit the Homepage of SPP2225
- Development and implementation of new approaches for the analysis of mass spectrometric data (e.g. visualization, alignment, peak detection)
- Optimization and further development of methods and algorithms for quantitative proteomics
Your profile:
- Completed studies in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or any other related natural science (doctor’s degree)
- Extensive experience in the field of computational biology, bioinformatics, algorithm development
- Ideally experience in the field of evaluation of mass spectrometric data and quantitative proteome analysis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organisational talent
- High motivation, work self-dependently and high flexibility
- Very good English skills
