The Institute of Immunology at the University Medical Center is recruiting a

Bioinformatician /Postdoc (m/f/d) on Computational Proteomics in full-time (100%). The position is initially limited to 2 years. The position will be in the group of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Stefan Tenzer (Homepage, Homepage Core Facility MS).

Your tasks include:

  1. Bioinformatic support of the integrated proteomics and lipidomics platform of the DFG-funded priority programme “SPP2225 EXIT Strategies – Host cell exit of intracellular pathogens” in evaluating quantitative proteomic data sets (For further information on the project, please visit the Homepage of SPP2225
  2. Development and implementation of new approaches for the analysis of mass spectrometric data (e.g. visualization, alignment, peak detection)
  3. Optimization and further development of methods and algorithms for quantitative proteomics

Your profile:

  1. Completed studies in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, or any other related natural science (doctor’s degree)
  2. Extensive experience in the field of computational biology, bioinformatics, algorithm development
  3. Ideally experience in the field of evaluation of mass spectrometric data and quantitative proteome analysis
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organisational talent
  5. High motivation, work self-dependently and high flexibility
  6. Very good English skills
