Senior Investigator, team leader in proteomics at the Center of Research in Cancerology Marseille, France The CRCM is an international cancer research center affiliated to national (Inserm, CNRS) and local institutions (Aix-Marseille University, Paoli-Calmettes Cancer Institute). The center hosts 450 members in 4 Departments dedicated to Cell Communication and Microenvironment, Genome Integrity, Immunology, Onco-Hematology, and Translational/Clinical research (http://crcm.marseille.inserm.fr/en/) in the South-East of France. The CRCM combines excellent research and access to high education in oncology and immunology, state-of-the-art technological support and a collegial set of teams offering a fertile and outstanding environment to develop fundamental, translational or clinical projects for patient benefits. The center has a long history in the discovery of targets, pathways and protein complexes of fundamental and physiopathological relevance, and has access state-of-the-art equipment in proteomics, genomics, histo-pathology, cell imaging, preclinics, immunomonitoring, bioinformatics and biobanking.
In 2024, the CRCM will open novel lab spaces aiming to enlarge the state-of-the-art proteomics platform and host in the same building a proteomics lab dedicated to the discovery of novel targetable pathways in oncology. We are recruiting a Senior Investigator to lead vigorous independent research programs focusing on all aspects of proteomics in her/his own team at CRCM. S/he will be supported by the strong proteomics expertise of the proteomics platform already located at CRCM. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic center to accelerate cancer research.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and a preferred expertise in bioinformatics applied to proteomics. As Senior Investigator, s/he will have strong expertise in management of a team/platform, and will be a key contributor in proteomics in oncology. S/he will be a scientific/technology leader, implement novel mass spectrometry methods/workflows, and establish collaborations with teams and other CRCM facilities.
